Salt Lake’s Convention Hotel Opens October 2022

After years of planning, the 700 room Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City opened on October 17, 2022, putting in place the final missing piece in Salt Lake’s meeting and convention package. The 26-story Hyatt Regency SLC is located on the southeast corner of the lot on which the Salt Palace Convention Center sits and adjacent to the convention center’s public space for seamless access to attendees staying at the hotel or utilizing its offerings. At an estimated cost of $377 million, the hotel offers 60,000-square feet of indoor meeting space, including a 23,138-square foot Regency Ballroom and a 14,682-square foot junior ballroom, as well as 7,400-square feet of outdoor event space. The hotel has a restaurant on the first floor, a lobby bar, another restaurant and fitness center on the sixth floor that includes a pool and terrace for events and other activities.
