Antelope Island State Park is a short drive to the North on I-15. There you will find improved beaches and showers at Bridger Bay. The lake is so salty that you will float like a cork!

What will the weather be like when I am in Salt Lake?
When does the ski season start/end?
The ski season typically starts in November, with the Ski City resorts usually open for Thanksgiving weekend. Conditions normally permit skiing into mid-April, with unusually snowy years providing opportunities for skiing into July. Check out the snow report for opening/closing dates and snow conditions at the resorts.
I would like to see a Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square performance. When can I do that? Do I need tickets?
There are generally two opportunities per week to see and hear the choir. Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. Please visit the choir website for locations, times, and special performances.
What is your public transportation system like? Can I get to and from where I need to go using only public transportation?
Salt Lake's public transportation system is run by the Utah Transit Authority. They provide Ski Bus service (typically begins in mid-December and ends early April), Trax light-rail, Front runner commuter rail, and regular bus service along the Wasatch Front (Salt Lake and the areas to the north and south). Our Convention Calendar is one of the benefits of membership. If you would like access to this resource, please contact our membership department regarding becoming a member. If you are a current member, you can access the confidential convention calendar through the member's only section of this site. If you do not have your login information, please contact the membership department.

How can I get a booth at an upcoming convention or trade show?
The Salt Palace Convention Center, Mountain America Expo Center, and Visit Salt Lake do not handle individual booths at the trade shows, meetings, and conventions that are held there. You will need to contact the show, meeting, or convention directly to find out if booth space is available. A website link is provided on the calendar when it is available.

If you are looking for information, you will find it here on our site or on visitutah.com and utah.gov. We do not have free postcards. The Salt Lake Visitors Guide includes maps and information about the Salt Lake area. You can view it online or request one through our online form (be sure to include a valid address).
Where can I find information about employment, internships, or volunteer opportunities?
The SLCVB posts employment opportunities on our site. If you do not see something that you are interested in, or are looking for an internship, please contact the Director of Human Resources with details on your qualifications and availability.
