Summer concerts in Salt Lake have something for everyone, from big headliners and music festivals in 20,000-seat stadiums both indoor and out, to nostalgia tours and cool bands in warm outdoor venues, to local favorites and up-and-comers in local hangouts. The number of places that have great outdoor music settings just keeps getting better, and several feature not only fantastic music combined with warm night breezes, but also beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Here are some of the best large venues as well as summer-only outdoor sites with their line-ups for summer 2022.

USANA Amphitheatre

This huge 20,000-person outdoor venue brings in the big names. With an assigned seating area and a general admission section, USANA gives you a chance to enjoy your favorite artists from all kinds of musical genres.

Red Butte Garden Outdoor Concert Series

Truly one of the most unique and beautiful places to see a concert, the Red Butte Garden Outdoor Concert Series is set in a botanical garden with a full stage and amphitheater-style lawn seating for 3,000. Besides the gorgeous garden setting, the venue has incredible night views of the Salt Lake valley on the west and the towering mountains on the east.

Sandy Amphitheater

An incredible, but perhaps lesser-known, outdoor venue is Sandy Amphitheater. Set in the south end of the Salt Lake valley and showcasing breathtaking city views, the Amphitheater has a cool set of talent this season.

Maverik Center

Twilight Concert Series at the Gallivan Center

In the core of downtown Salt Lake, the Gallivan Center and the Salt Lake City Arts Council hosted one the most anticipated concert events every year. The Twilight Concert Series is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2022, and the green space of the Gallivan, surrounded by restaurants, hotels, theaters, and bars is the perfect place to enjoy these outdoor events.

Five multi-band concert events from July 14-September 2 include:

Saltair

One of the most unique places to catch a live concert is Saltair, which is out on the shore of the Great Salt Lake. Saltair is an historic building with quite singular architecture, set in a secluded area out of the city surrounded only by the lake and great outdoors.

Deer Valley Music Festival

Every summer, the chance to hear great talent perform in the middle of the mountains happens at the Deer Valley Music Festival.
