Snowbird Ski Resort
Snowbird is a four-season resort located in the Wasatch Mountains' breathtaking Little Cottonwood Canyon. Snowbird boasts thrills, luxury, and relaxation across the ski season that doesn't end when the snow melts—the resort offers dozens of alpine activities, spa packages, summer events, and mountain dining during the warmer months.
Parking & Transportation
Parking
Reservations are not required. Most parking spots at Snowbird are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a limited amount of reserved paid advanced daily parking.
Transportation
There are plenty of ways to get to Snowbird village to hit the slopes. If you are driving, your vehicle must meet the traction law requirements and you should be ready to drive in winter conditions. If you don't want the stress of winter driving and finding a parking space UTA's Ski Bus is the public transportation option daily during the ski season.

Prior to heading out to Snowbird get check out the resources from Utah Department of Transportation for Little Cottonwood Canyon road conditions, live traffic cameras, travel tips, vehicle requirements, and winter driving tips. UDOT has plenty of experience dealing with the mountains of snow and snow in the mountains, but you can do your part to help by being an informed driver. Located up Little Cottonwood Canyon, Snowbird is a scenic 45 min drive from Salt Lake City International Airport, making same-day skiing and flying a reality. The winter terrain is immaculate and the summer mountains beg to be explored by foot and the Aerial Tram or by the glass at Snowbird’s premier Oktoberfest celebration, one of the largest festivals of its kind in the country. Opening and Closing Hours
Snowbird is a year-round resort, so there's always something open! In the winter Tram and lift hours are 9 am to 4 pm. Dining hours at the resort and lodges start early, 6:15 am, and continue to late into the night with après-ski options at bars open until 11 pm.

The Nest at Snowbird
Re-opening in the 2025-26 winter season, the new mid-mountain restaurant features sweeping views of Gad Valley and an expansive patio for outdoor seating. Located at the top of the Mid-Gad chairlift, the space features 355 indoor seats and an additional 90 patio seats—all on a single level. At The Nest, guests will find a range of American and internationally influenced cuisine served buffet style.

The Aerie
