LGBTQ Community Resources

Salt Lake is a welcoming, friendly city, and serves as a bastion of progressiveness, playfulness, and pride. It’s been recognized by Advocate magazine as one of the Ten Queerest Cities in America, and holds one of the best-attended Pride parades and festivals around, with Pride Week festivities attracting tens of thousands of participants. In addition, there are many local organizations dedicated specifically to the needs of the LGBTQ community.

Utah Pride Center — Utah Pride unites, empowers and celebrates Utah’s diverse LGBTQ community by providing a safe and welcoming space for education, partnerships, services and events which advance our collective health, wellness and success.

Utah LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce — The Utah LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce is open to corporations of all sizes, sole proprietors and independent agents regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Visit their website and get involved today.

Q Salt Lake — Utah's Gay and Lesbian News & Entertainment Magazine will keep you update to date on current queer happenings in the city.

Human Rights Campaign — HRC is committed to improving the well-being of LGBTQ  people not only in Salt Lake, but across the country.

Stonewall Dems — Democrats for equal rights for Utah's LGBTQ communities and their families

Equality Utah — Working to secure equal rights and protections for LGBTQ Utahns and their families by building powerful coalitions and lobbying the legislative bodies.

Log Cabin Utah — Republicans who support fairness, freedom, and equality for LGBTQ Americans.

Stonewall Sports Salt Lake - Stonewall Sports is an organization helping the queer community and its allies meet other LGBTQ folks through sports activities. 

Transgender Education Advocates of Utah - Utah’s advocacy group for the rights, protection, and advancement of trans people.

Utah AIDS Foundation - The Utah AIDS foundation is committed to improving the health and well-being of those living with HIV / AIDS. They also are instrumental in helping get people access to important medications such as PrEP and PEP.
