Where Tradition Meets Adventure

The Winter Roundup isn’t just about looking back; it’s about celebrating Salt Lake's dynamic evolution. One of the standout experiences? Skijoring—a heart-pounding sport where skiers are pulled by horses through an urban winter wonderland. Combining the thrills of modern winter sports with Salt Lake’s rich western roots, this event is a testament to the city’s unique identity. But the connections to tradition don’t stop there. The Winter Roundup also honors Salt Lake's pioneer spirit, exemplified by the Days of ’47 Rodeo, one of Utah's longest-standing traditions. Since 1847, the Days of '47 Rodeo has celebrated the state’s heritage with old-world charm and unmatched pageantry. Adding to the excitement, attend PBR: Unleash the Beast at the Delta Center on Friday, February 7th, or Saturday, February 8th, at 6:45pm, showcasing the world’s best bull riders and electrifying crowds to make a weekend of it! Together, these elements create a one-of-a-kind winter experience where tradition and adventure collide.

The event, put on by PBR - headquartered in Pueblo, Colo., PBR was founded in 1992 by a group of 20 visionary bull riders who broke away from the traditional rodeo scene, seeking mainstream attention, new riches and a livelihood for future generations of cowboys for the most popular discipline in rodeo, bull riding.

With a full day of action-packed sports and pony rides to line dancing and live music , the event provides countless ways to create lasting memories.
