COVID-19 Updates

For anyone coming to Salt Lake, we hope to answer concerns you might have regarding what is open, ideas for things to do while you’re here, and safety protocols/travel restrictions.

Current Status/Travel Restrictions

Utah has a new transmission index with guidelines by county. Salt Lake, as the most populous county in the state, is considered in high level of transmission. Salt Lake County has a mandatory mask rule in place. If you are traveling to Utah from another U.S. state, there are currently no travel restrictions or quarantine requirements if you are healthy. Other questions relating to travel to Utah can be answered on Utah state’s Coronavirus FAQ page under the Travel section.

What's Open

Restaurants

Most restaurants are open, with takeout, curbside pickup, or delivery options. Many establishments have dine-in or patio services, but are following strict health precaution guidelines

You can search for restaurants by cuisine and location and see their websites for specific information on our site or the SLC Downtown Alliance lists restaurants all on one page with their status.

Hotels

Hotels and their pools are open and are required to follow state and county health guidelines.
