Utah Valley is located at the base of the majestic Wasatch Mountains, about 45 miles from Salt Lake. (Travel south on I-15.) En route, delight in 800 acres of gardens, golf, a dinosaur museum, shopping, and food at Thanksgiving Point. (exit 284) In the heart of the valley, you’ll find the sister cities of Provo and Orem. Don’t miss the Historic Utah County Courthouse on Center Street in Provo, across from the Utah Valley Visitors Center. Brigham Young University has several outstanding museums. Enjoy fine dining, art, summer theatre, and winter activities at Robert Redford’s Sundance Resort. (On UT-92, just off US-189.) Hike to Timpanogos Cave National Monument to see 3 limestone caverns filled with fascinating geologic creations. (Northwest on UT-92 from Sundance, or east on UT-92 from I-15 exit 284; open mid-May to September.)
