With over 3 decades of experience as an executive in communication and banking, Chris embraces small business owners as they share their remarkable journey. Chris began at KSL Radio and had a decorated 20-year career with the Bonneville Salt Lake Radio Group. Following her broadcasting career, she joined Zions Bank as the Senior Vice President with the communications department where she oversaw the business radio program “Speaking on Business.” It was there that she interviewed thousands of businesses and continued her deep commitment to small business and sharing their incredible stories. She received numerous awards and recognition for her talents, leadership and promotion of the business community as well as her ability to connect the human impact of business. Some of those recognitions include being nominated as one of the top 50 Broadcasters in the US and Best of State Award for Journalism. Chris is excited that Utah is one of the top states for business start-ups and likens the state's entrepreneurial spirit to the courage and hard work of those who moved there during the 1800s — as modern business owners are truly pioneers in their own right. Connect with Me Chris recently completed serving 13 years with the Salt Lake Chamber where she was the second woman to chair the Chamber in over 107 years. In 2009 she received the prestigious Athena Award for her efforts on behalf of the community and supporting women in business. Appointed as Finance Chair for the UN Convention meeting held in 2019, Chris and Mayor Jackie Biskupski raised $2.7 million for this global event. Since then, she Co-Chairs the Global Leader's Scholarship Fund with Mayor Jackie Biskupski. She is a Senior Advisor of the Kem C. Garner Policy Institute and a member of the Executive Board for Visit Salt Lake and Utah Museum of Fine Arts. She is the Communication Director of the Baskerville Institute, a civil society organization that strengthens ties between Iran and the United States. Highly respected for her advocacy of women in business, Chris is known for her work in this community.
