Jack's Peak Trail

A short loop trail hike that, while not terribly difficult, has trail sections that will get your heart pumping and your legs burning. A pretty hike with some spectacular views, this trail will take you to a pointy peak that is named after Jack Edwards, a young toddler who passed away from leukemia in 1995. His parents created a memorial at the top with mailboxes containing notebooks for visitors to write in, and the peak is also known as Jack's Mountain or Jack's Mailbox Peak. The hike is short and pretty consistently steep in places, with very little to no shade. The views are worth every step.
