Come for the scenery, stay for the scene! 

At the first crisp snowfall along the Wasatch Front, when Salt Lake transforms itself into Utah’s urban basecamp for The Greatest Snow on Earth®, skiers and boarders rejoice. While Salt Lake combines the endless urban activities and rich cultural offerings of any big city, it also boasts quick mountain access. If sliding down the mountain isn’t your thing, you can always take in the quiet majesty of the Wasatch Mountains on snowshoes. With terrain options for all skill levels, you can choose between views of the city or expansive high alpine peaks.  

The foothills of Salt Lake offer hundreds of miles of outdoor adventure. The Bonneville Shoreline Trail provides year-round hiking, trail running and winter mountain biking opportunities.  

Once you’ve had your fill of famous Utah powder, be sure to enjoy après ski - Salt Lake style. There are dozens of brewpubs, bars, cafes and James Beard-nominated dining options open to satiate all tastes. Don’t forget to catch a Utah Jazz basketball game, touring Broadway shows at the Eccles Theater or the internationally renowned Utah Symphony.
