Solitude Mountain Resort

A Winter Local Favorite

Solitude Mountain Resort is a local’s favorite mountain with some of the best, most breathtaking terrain in North America. Unhurried and attentive staff, family-friendly atmosphere, long operating hours, and a variety of lodging options make it a memorable experience for anyone.

Living up to its name, Solitude maintains a low-key vibe, with plenty of elbow room for every skier and boarder. Beginners find plenty of terrain to keep themselves busy on the lower front side of the resort— more advanced shredders can spend a lifetime, unraveling the mountain’s secrets. In addition to plentiful alpine terrain, Solitude offers nearly 20 kilometers of peaceful, forested Nordic and snowshoe trails. The 22/23 season saw two new terrain parks awaiting those who are ready to develop a different set of skills.

Despite its low-key rep, Solitude has a vibrant base area featuring live music on weekends and holidays, snow beaches for soaking in the mountain sunshine, and a mountain village with a full range of après options. As Solitude is fond of saying, “just get here” – great advice for a wonderful winter getaway.
