The Bingham Canyon Mine Visitors Center is currently closed. As part of continuous geotechnical monitoring, mine personnel discovered movement during the facility's normal winter closure. This movement will require the Visitors Center to be relocated. Planning is currently underway for timing and relocation of the Visitors Center. Various short-term and long-term solutions are being explored to create an interactive and educational experience for visitors. Since 1992, the Bingham Canyon Mine Visitors Center has generated $2.8 million for the Kennecott Utah Copper Bingham Canyon Mine Visitors Center Charitable Foundation, welcomed more than 3 million visitors, and served as a critical venue to communicate about Kennecott’s commitments and values. For the most current information, please call our visitors center hotline, at 801.204.2025.
