Seven Creeks | Walk Series

*COVID-19 Note: This event may be postponed or canceled.*****The Seven Creeks | Walk Series, funded by Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts & Parks Program and the David Kelby Johnson Memorial Foundation, engages local residents in walking conversations and collaborative action along buried and impaired reaches of the seven canyon creeks. Participants observe and share stories, insights, and visions to explore ways to better manage, restore, and love these waterways. By combining elements of ecological restoration, art and expression, and the spoken word, this program seeks to build community support and awareness to uncover and restore our buried and impair creeks.Location: Fitts ParkGroup: South Salt LakeWhat to be ready for:Participate for allotted timeParticipate in rain or shineWalk a mile on uneven surfacesCarry loads of up to 50 lbs, depending on capabilityParticipate in various activities, including but not limited to invasive species removal, garbage cleanup, painting, and conversationLearn about the hydrology of the Salt Lake ValleySign liability waiver in advance of eventWhat to bringLong pants, closed-toe shoes, hat, sunglasses, and glovesNecessary medications or precautions for allergies, etc.SunblockReusable water bottleRain jacketSigned Volunteer Contract (if under 18)
