Othello By William Shakespeare Directed by Jared Larkin

Thu, Apr 04
A quintessential Shakespeare play. Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian Army. Othello’s passionate love for Desdemona leads to their elopement. Iago, jealous of Othello’s success as a general, and Rodrigo, jealous of Othello’s marriage to Desdemona, both conspire to ruin Othello’s life.As relevant as when Shakespeare composed it in the 16th century, Othello provokes a deep conversation on love, envy, otherness, and identity. Director Jared Larkin adds his own fresh interpretation to this tragedy, creating a new perspective in this Westminster Theatre production.By William Shakespeare | Directed by Jared LarkinApril 4–6 and 11–13 at 7:30 p.m.Courage Theatre$12/Free for Westminster students, staff, and faculty.
