Murray Arts Board holds a Free Lunch Concert Series throughout June and July at the Murray Park Pavilion #5. Held most Tuesdays at Noon!Specializing in Music of the '50s, '60s, & '70s, The Time Cruisers are ready to rock n' roll at Murray Park, July 31st!The Time Cruisers were formed around 1995 and have played as far North as Jackson Holy Wyoming, as far East as Green River Wyoming, as far South as St. George and as far West as Lake Tahoe. Many people have passed through the band in the past years, bu the current configuration has only been together for about three years.Bill Stidd plays the lead and specializes in the West Coast surf rock sound of the Ventures, Dick Dale, and other instrumental bands from that period. His big musical influences are Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, and the Beach Boys.Kendall Jewkes plays the keyboards, as well as the guitar. His big musical influences are The Beatles and other bands from that same ear.Rick McKinnon sings lead and harmony, but can also play rhythm guitar. He has performed at the famous Troubadour in LA. Rick likes to play both country and rock n' roll.Ralph Salsbury sings harmony and plays Bass guitar. He grew up in LA, got married and moved to Indiana to raise a family. He has since moved back to Salt Lake area and joined the band. Ralph's musical influences are The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and other bands from that era.Dieter Wachtel plays the drums and sings. He immigrated from Germany in 1954 to Salt Lake City. After seeing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan show, back in 1964, the drums became his obsession. After learning the drums, he expanded his musical talents to the guitar, piano, mandolin, and bass guitar. He has played two tours in Europe with The Prairie Dogs Bluegrass band. Dieter's musical influences mostly include the British Invasion bands.
