USUO continues to prioritize the health and well-being of its audience, musicians, staff, guest artists, and the entire community.Learn more about our health and safety plan here.Visit three bygone eras in China, Scotland, and Russia with the Utah Symphony – all in a single night!Stravinsky’s fantastical puppet show ballet Pétrouchka, which tells of the loves and jealousy of three puppets, was the follow-up to his first critical success and made him an even bigger star in 1911 Paris.Zhou Tian’s Trace, premiered in 2013 by the Cincinnati Symphony, tells the story of the Chinese-American composer’s own disappearing homeland and the ways industrialization has obscured the past for all of us.Though Bruch had access to the folk music of Scotland, he never actually visited the country until after his immensely popular tribute, filled with Scottish folk melodies, was premiered. Estimated concert length: 1 hour, 45 minutes (including a 20 minute intermission)
