Legendary violinist, singer and actress, Lucia Micarelli (August 5), returns tothe St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights stage, just as her critically-acclaimedPBS Special, “An Evening with Lucia Micarelli,” hits the KUED airwaves. “I thinkmy show has sort of evolved into a personal journey of music, of my work so far.And because I’ve met so many people in all these different genres and fallen inlove with all this music, the show ends up being this crazy mix - just kind of areally wide mix of things.” The Treme star is a force—touring and collaboratingwith artists like Josh Groban, Chris Botti, Jethro Tull, playing everything fromclassical to jazz, to Americana. Expect an exciting and eclectic romp throughgenres, from the performer The Wall Street Journal called, “a violinist of heartmeltingtalent.” Joining her for the evening is cellist, composer and, TED SeniorFellow, Joshua Roman. Known for his wide-ranging repertoire, and animprovisational and versatile performance style, Roman has been called, “amusician of imagination and expressive breadth,” by the Seattle PostIntelligencer.He is credited with bringing a fresh approach to classical music,and will collaborate with Micarelli to create a show that will challenge theexpectations of classical music
