Linnie Brown Solo Exhibition: "Retrace"

Mon, Oct 15
  • 1321 South 2100 East, Salt Lake City, UT 84108
Linnie Brown’s mixed media artworks are explorations of how past experiences with locations, such as home and travel, influence one’s current viewpoints and engagement with society. Her artwork uses layers of painting, drawing and collage to create a motif which references the mapping of place and memory. By combining shapes from significant parts of her life, such as floor plans of buildings, sewing patterns and city boundaries, she charts her own personal routes to create complex works of art.

Brown earned her MFA from the University of Utah, and her BFA from Brigham Young University where she is currently and Adjunct Professor.
