Nitya Nritya Foundation is proud to present "Kalaadvaya - An evening of Hindustani music and Bharatanatyam" on Saturday, 23rd March at the Leona Wagner Blackbox Theatre.Hindustani is a genre of Indian classical music that originates predominantly from Northern India.The first half of the event is a concert by Shrinidhi Sundar, a Hindustani vocalist based in the Salt Lake valley. She will be accompanied by Debanjan Bhattacharjee on the Tabla.This will be followed by a traditional Bharatanatyam repertoire by Nitya Nritya Dance Company. The dancers are Jyothsna Sainath, Maya Jammulapati, and Arundhati Oommen.Total running time: 120 minutes including a single 10 minute intermission.Recommended for ages 5 and up. No babes in arms.
