In the 1860's, two photographers captured the progress of road construction and the crews along the path of the two railway companies. Alfred A. Hart was the photographer for the Central Pacific while photographer Andrew J. Russell worked with the Union Pacific.150 years later, a free-lance photographer from Beijing became inspired by the work of these two men. Mr. Li Ju then made eight trips trekking across the U.S. to retrace Hart and Russell's routes and documenting the exact location where their original photos were taken.Let us travel through the lenses of these three men to find the stories lost along path of the first Transcontinental Railroad.
