The Plein Air Competition is open to all regional artists. Original themed works painted between May 28 through June 2, 2019 are eligible. PHOTOGRAPHS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE PLEIN AIR COMPETITION. Participating artists will provide their own surfaces which must be stamped before beginning the work. Stamping serves as a contest verification for when the surface is returned. Maximum surface size is 24” x 36”.BOUNDARIESThe EAC’s Driving the Spike: Past to Present 1869 to 2019 Plein Air Competition boundaries are set to pay tribute to Ogden’s Railroad legacy and history. Artists may paint along the rails from Ogden to Promontory, Utah. Works must pay tribute to the history of Ogden and the Transcontinental Railroad.WORKING PERIODMay 28 through June 3, 2019 4:00 PMREGISTRATION & STAMPINGWe suggest that you register in person when you have your surfaces stamped.
