Join UMFA and Artes de México en Utah for a Día de los Muertos celebration teeming with entertainment for all ages: collaborative community altars, traditional live music, dance, and spoken word performances, art-making, food trucks, a talk by University of Utah professor Armando Solórzano, and more. See La ofrenda, a masterwork by world-renowned Mexican artist Diego Rivera, inspired by the traditional Dia de los Muertos altar. The painting is on loan from Art Bridges and is on view at the UMFA October 25, 2019 through October 4, 2020.The community altar will also be on view Sunday, November 3. Access to the community altar is free. Admission to the galleries and other activities is $5 both days.
