Concert in the Park with the Beehive Statesmen Barbershop Chorus

Under the direction of Penny Peshel and Paul Barlow, the Beehive Statesmen Barbershop Chorus continues its annual tradition of performing a concert of exceptional a Capella music as a part of the Temple Square Concert in the Park series.  This year, the concert will be performed in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.The chorus is uniquely composed of  seasoned and committed singers.  Motivated by the joy of joining with others in harmonious song, the chorus has been keeping alive the rich 4 part harmony Barbershop Men’s a Cappella tradition and entertained residents all over the Salt Lake City Metro area for 69 years!  They recently placed 5th in the chorus competition conducted by the Rocky Mountain District of the Barbershop Harmony Society.Through their commitment to fellowship through music the chorus has performed for numerous audiences throughout the Salt Lake region and has particularly enjoyed providing entertainment to residents of various independent and assisted living facilities.  They hope that you will come and enjoy this celebration of the uniquely American barbershop musical sound in this concert that will appeal to audiences of all ages.The Beehive Statesmen Chorus is sponsored in part by the Salt Lake City Zoo, Arts and Parks Program and is partnered with The Sons of Utah Pioneers.
