All-day Sacred Harp singing

Sacred Harp or shape note singing is an American a cappella hymn singing tradition that emphasizes participation over performance. On September 28 from 9:00-3:30, we will have singers from all over the country join to sing together with great gusto. The words come from the Protestant Christian tradition, but singers of all faiths and no faith find meaning and power in the music and the words, and this singing is not connected to any denomination or church. We invite you to come and listen or join in the singing! The event is free and open to all people of all genders, races, faiths, and ages. Come and go as you wish. We will have books you can borrow.
