Welcome to the Outdoor Retailer Show
I've seen people from all over the world and talked to many of them about visiting Salt Lake. While it's true that we're in an inversion that has gotten the attention of the attendees, the rain/snow that we're getting now is helping so the skiers are certainly excited.
And there are a lot of skiers here. At least a dozen people I spoke with today took advantage of the proximity to the resorts and enjoyed a couple days of skiing on the front end of the show. Others are opting or rather hedging their bets for some powder as the show finishes on Sunday.
I spent the first day of the show just walking from booth to booth and I swear I walked 5 miles. Not quite as massive as it's sister show the Summer Outdoor Retailer Show, the number of aisles to walk and booths to see seems never ending. And that's just the main hall.
Putting on a show of this magnitude is a great test of the convention center but thankfully we've got a solid team to pull it off.
I'll be updating the blog with video impressions from attendees over the next few days.
