Utah's 2014 Olympians

The state of Utah will be well represented as the 2014 Winter Olympic Games play out in Sochi, Russia Feb. 7-23. Here's a list of Utah residents representing Team USA in Sochi. Some are Utah natives, and others live in Utah temporarily for training. A few will win medals in Sochi, but all of them have made amazing sacrifices just to qualify for the Olympic Games.
Julia Ford: Alpine skiing. SLC resident and student at Westminister College.
Jared Goldberg: Alpine skiing. Lives in Holladay, student at Westminister.
Ted Ligety: Alpine skiing. Born in SLC and grew up in Park City. 2006 Olympic gold medalist in men's combined.
Megan McJames: Alpine skiing. Born in Park City, started skiing at age 2.
Steven Nyman: Alpine skiing. Born in Provo, lives in Park City. Attended University of Utah.
