Grabbing a quick bite at Caputo's is more than a lunch stop, it's a memorable culinary experience. I have eaten many sandwiches, and many that I have enjoyed enough to go back several times. But very few things compare to Caputo's expertly made sandwiches and Italian dishes.
How does one make a sandwich worthy of such praise? It all comes down to a commitment for the freshest and finest ingredients available. Each sandwich is dressed perfectly with the right combination of meats, cheeses, vegetables, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, red pepper spread, and more. From their signature, The Caputo (prosciutto, mortadella, salami, provolone, lettuce & tomatoes), the savory Muffaletta (salami, ham, mortadella, cheese, and olives on a French roll), incredible Meatball, and more, the sandwich menu alone is sure to delight your taste buds.
But they do so much more. Expertly prepared salads and daily pasta specials make the decision of what to eat that much harder. If they are serving lasagna or arrabbiata when you get there, I highly recommend trying these great pasta dishes. The dinner menu has an expanded selection of pastas as well as meat and seafood dishes.
Lunch options range from $4.25-$9. Dinner main dishes range from $11-16. For light eaters, they'll split any dinner entree for $5.50, and both diners will get full soup or salad, and garlic bruschetta. The downtown location is open Monday 9am-7pm; Tuesday-Saturday 9am-9pm; and Sunday 10am-5pm. They recently opened a second location at 1516 South 1500 East that is open Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm, Friday-Saturday 9am-9pm, & Sunday 10am-3pm, and serves a smaller menu of their popular foods.
