The State Room, a classy concert venue in SLC

The State Room in Salt Lake CityMore great concert venues are appearing all around the valley in Salt Lake. One that is worthy of much praise is The State Room.  Comfortable, theater style seating in an intimately sized room with a full bar, serving beer, wine and cocktails- these are just a few of this venue's great qualities. This welcoming setting boasts of its draw to nationally acclaimed musicians and its great downtown location.  The State Room is located right across from the popular brew pup, The Bayou, which serves up the city's favorite sweet potato fries and one of the largest beer menus. The combo would be a great idea for an evening out on the town, catching an early dinner at The Bayou then checking out a concert at The State Room.

The State Room
The State Room has a great concert line up for this summer!  I'm personally really excited about The Civil Wars, a duo out of Nashville.  Check out what the LA Times had to say about this band: "Their musical connection is seriously joyful; it carries them out of themselves and into a space that glows...Its sound is reminiscent of the Grammy-winning work of Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, but with a looser, more unpredictable energy…through bands such as the Civil Wars, a new music industry is born." - Los Angeles Times

Here are a few more of the upcoming shows at The State Room:

June 25 Bill Callahan

June 28 The Civil Wars

July 1 Marc Broussard

July 7 Darrel Scott and The Brothers

July 15 Black Francis

July 16 Black Mead
