The Gateway Mall

Monday April 4, 2011
The Gateway shopping center attracts many people from all of Utah, as well as neighboring areas such as Idaho and Wyoming. As a former student from Utah State University, I knew many people - including myself - who would travel 3 hours south to Salt Lake just to shop downtown at The Gateway.

The Gateway has several shops that you cannot find anywhere else in Utah, such as Z Gallerie, Sur La Table, Urban Outfitters, Abercrombie & Fitch, and the Apple store. (And to be honest going to an Apple store is an experience in itself. The atmosphere and all the great technology will blow you away.)

I love shopping at The Gateway. There are over 100 stores, including apparel, technology, kitchen and home, and outdoor goods. They also have retailers for wedding dresses, jewelery, salons, and much more. Along with all the shopping, there is a lot more to experience at Megaplex 12 (a movie theatre with twelve screens,) Clark Planetarium, the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum, and the 2002 Olympic Legacy "Dancing Waters" Fountain. And after you have had all the shopping and exploring that you can handle, The Gateway is also home to several restaurants, ranging from steaks and sushi to ice cream and cookies.

Anything you could want from a shopping center can be found at The Gateway. Go for a few hours or all day - you will not be disappointed in your experience. TRAX light rail stops right outside The Gateway, located downtown in the free fare zone.
