The snow on the slopes has been replaced by wildflowers and summer is in full swing at Deer Valley Resort in Park City. While you may know Deer Valley as one of the premier ski destinations in the country, things do not slow down in the summer. Deer Valley swaps groomers and powder for mountain biking and hiking trails with the same magnificent views.

One thing that does not change is the incredible food offerings for which Deer Valley has become known for. Before you hit the hiking trails or jump on your mountain bike, here is what is on the menu this summer at Deer Valley.

Something for Everyone

Deer Valley Grocery-Café has something for everyone. Open from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, Deer Valley Grocery~Café serves breakfast, lunch, Grab and Go, and ready-to-eat frozen gourmet take-away items in the Deer Valley Plaza building in the Snow Park area. Take in the view from the outdoor deck with the avocado toast or open-faced lox for breakfast, the kale and berry salad or the famous Deer Valley Turkey Chili for lunch. Need a quick bite on the go or to eat at your base camp? Deer Valley Grocery~Café has a selection of gourmet grocery items and house prepared take-away entrées, both ready-to-eat and frozen, available for purchase. Family Carry-out Meals for four are also available. Orders can be placed between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily, at least 24 hours prior to pick-up. 

Recharge and refuel after a morning on the mountain at Royal Street Café. This favorite spot for locals offers scenic deck dining, mid-mountain at Silver Lake Lodge. The Dungeness Crab Tower is a guest favorite and pairs perfectly with the famous blueberry mojito. Royal Street Café also offers a plethora of salads and chili as well as specialty items like the Nashville fried chicken sandwich and the smoked Wagyu brisket sandwich. New this summer, Royal Street Express, offers guests a quick grab and go option on the mountain. From Nashville-style chicken sandwiches to roasted cauliflower rice bowls, this is not your typical grab and go. Royal Street Express is also the place to grab cold beverages, beers, cookies, and ice cream sandwiches.  

Located in the scenic Lodges at Deer Valley, The Brass Tag serves fine Italian cuisine either at your table or to-go. The fried cheese curd is a must have; they are beer battered, made with fresh Wisconsin curds, and served with housemade marinara. Entrées include brick-oven pizza, Tagliata di Manzo and lobster ricotta ravioli to name a few. After your main course, save a little room for dessert. The skillet-cooked brownie is to die for.

Enjoy the mountain air and celebrate Fridays at The Goldener Hirsch located in Silver Lake Village. The Goldener Hirsch and Traeger Grills® have partnered this summer to create a series of culinary experiences paired with Alpine Distilling libations. The Friday Afternoon Club features live music from 3 to 6 p.m. every Friday through September 3 on the deck of the new Goldener Hirsch Café. Meet on the Bridge to create memories at the FAC! The Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater at Deer Valley Resort hosts multiple concert series every summer including the Deer Valley Concert Series, The Utah Symphony's Deer Valley Music Festival, and the Grand Valley Bank Community Concert Series. These shows are a favorite of Salt Lake and Park City locals.

Don’t worry about preparing and packing a picnic for one of the concerts, Deer Valley offers a selection of gourmet picnic bags available for order until 5 p.m. the day prior to each concert. This year, guests can choose from roasted chicken, grilled prime beef tenderloin or Hawaiian ahi tuna. A Power Bowl option with a quinoa salad is also available.  

Recipient of the AAA-Four Diamond Award and the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, the Goldener Hirsch Restaurant offers exquisite contemporary Alpine cuisine with a seasonal American spin for dinner, Thursday through Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. this summer. Enjoy unique appetizers including the ever-popular cheese fondue, seasonal soups and salads, creative entrées including the classic wiener schnitzel, seared meats, and fresh fish. A variety of desserts from the in-house pastry chef are also available.
