SNBD2420: Advanced Powder Skiing At Snowbird
Date: February 4, 2008
New Snow: 98" (last 7 days)
Crew: Myself (Jake Kirshner), Adrian Lazo, Rob Valdassari
Any student at the University of Utah can attest to the fact the hardest decisions are made on powder days. In the winter, choosing between fresh snow and class is a constant struggle, but when that fresh snow measures to 100" in the last week there is no decision to be made. You grab your gear, beat the road closure and pray that someone else can give you the lecture notes.
I get some extra studying done in the aspen trees of Wilbere Chute.
Adrian Lazo brushes up on his studies.
I get buried in homework on the lower cirque.
Our class gets a special visitor from Snowbird Instructor Rob Valdassari.
I stay after class in Wilbere Bowl's trees.
Adrian earns his grade under the tram line.
It has been snowing consistently since mid-December. I feel like this a conspiracy to tank my GPA!
