Salt Lake City is never one to rest on its laurels when it comes to food and drink, and the last three months have been no exception.  If it’s been a while since you’ve checked out the latest and greatest changes to our foodie scene, we’ve got just what you need - a recap of some  of the very best new openings in town.

Bewilder Brewing

The biggest update for this stellar downtown brewer is the switch to becoming a fully-fledged bar (21+ only); that means Bewilder now offer their fabulous beers alongside local hard ciders, wine, and cocktails. 

Under chef Justin Fields the menu has expanded impressively too. Fields revels in traditional techniques, hand crafting as much of the menu as he can. That means house cured pastrami, European style sausages from scratch, and impeccable on point house-dogs which are offered during the lunchtime hot dog bar. Fields doesn’t skimp on the finishing touches either, putting out an array of supporting stars - fermented onion relish, zesty house sauerkraut and lush German mustard. 

If you’re reading this in late September, be sure to swing by and check out their popular Oktoberfest reboot - Fields completely retools for the festive occasion, putting out a menu of German dishes like no other in town; supported ably as you might guess by several solid beers.
