Rock and Blues at Snowbird
It's hot outside and "they" say it's only going to get hotter by topping the century mark this coming weekend. All the more reason to escape to the mountains for the Rock and Blues Festival at Snowbird August 1-2.
General Admission for a single day is $35 and $55 for both days. Reserved seating is $50 a day. Children 2-12 are $20 and under 2 are free.
This event is hosted by the Snowbird Renissance Center which was a foundation started by Dick Bass, owner of Snowbird. The Renissance Center was founded with a mission to:
...presentation of musical, artistic and theatrical performances, educational classes and other activities that foster the appreciation for and excellence in the arts, sciences and humanities.
They will be awarding Bettye LaVette with the 2008 Blues Artist of the Year. Aside from Bettye, here is the line up for the festival. It's bursting with talent and will be a memorable event!

This is sure to be a great time with excellent music, good food and in one of the more beautiful settings that Salt Lake has to offer.
