Holiday Shopping in Salt Lake: Part I - 9th and 9th
Every time I visit a city, I naturally look for the inside scoop as to where the locals shop eat and play. When it comes to Christmas, the right collection of shops can be as much entertainment as it is shopping. One area that you won’t want to miss is the eclectic neighborhood of
9th and 9th.
I recommend parking the car and planning on spending a couple of hours wandering and enjoying the people, the food, and the local shops. It isn’t possible to list all there is to do at 9th and 9th – it’s just one of those places where there is so much going on.
Here is a snap shot of the scene in the neighborhood:
The Blue Cockatoo Gallery – Gifts, Jewelry
Charlotte’s – a cornucopia of pajamas and peppermint
Hip and Humble – Kitchen, Bath, Laundry, Fashion, Kids, everything…
Barbacoa – Mexican Grill
Coffee Garden – Coffee, atmosphere, pastries, sandwiches, and mmmmm breakfast
Mazza Café – Middle Eastern Cuisine
There is so much to do and so much to see at 9th and 9th and during the holidays is a perfect time to spend a few hours. Go over and check it out, and make sure to arrive hungry and ready to shop!
