Delta launches new product for meetings and conventions

Published: 08/17/2009
(August 17, 2009) - Delta Air Lines today launched the Delta Meeting Network®, a product especially designed for corporate, association and incentive customers traveling to a meeting, conference or convention at any of the 376 destinations Delta serves worldwide.

To celebrate the launch of the Delta Meeting Network, the airline is offering an introductory promotion of one free ticket for every 20 flown tickets for new contracts signed by September 30, 2009. Additional taxes/fees/restrictions/baggage charges may apply. Details are included below.

The Delta Meeting Network includes a regular offer of one free ticket for every 40 tickets flown, plus discounts off the published fares. To qualify, a minimum of 10 travelers is required and individuals must depart from at least two cities in the United States.

"The new Delta Meeting Network is part of the ongoing product harmonization between Delta and Northwest, and we are confident it will deliver competitive offers to corporations and associations despite the challenges posed by the current economy," said Jim Cron, Delta's senior vice president of Sales, Reservations and Distribution. "No other program for meetings and conventions offers the advantages and the scope of destinations that Delta can offer thanks to its network."

For more information, meeting planners may call 1-800-328-2216 to speak with a Delta Meeting Network representative.
