Tamara England, Manager at the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau "Salt Lake To Go" gift shop scours the state for locally-crafted gifts. "The shop really shows the great bounty and abundance of our state," she says. "Most locals don't know we're here. I'm continually amazed when locals find us and rave about our wide variety of great gifts. Our store is easily accessible downtown in the Salt Palace Convention Center and is a great place for gifts to family and friends here and out of state."
Another great gift idea available at the Gift Shop is one that offers endless entertainment is the Visit Salt Lake Connect Pass, a streamlined way to enjoy 12 of Salt Lake area's best attractions. It is available in 1-, 2-, 3-, 5- and 7-day increments. Once activated, locals or visitors have 1 to 7 days to use their Connect Pass, depending on the package they choose.
Finally, the information specialists at the Visitors Center can help put together a weekend or week-long vacation. They have information from Cache to San Juan counties, and everywhere in between. They're also experts on "what to do in SLC." Many hiking, biking, and scenic driving books are available for sale in the gift shop. It also has brochures on "Birds of Utah" and "Plants of Utah." Another fun line of books includes Things to do Salt Lake and Family Fun in Utah.
