SALT LAKE CITY- What if helping needy children was as easy as taking a walk? Would you be able to take a few hours out of your day to support the "race" to stop child hunger? If so, join USANA Health Sciences on Saturday, August, 27, 2011 in their eighth annual CHF Children's Hunger Run/Walk: Stop Hunger in its Tracks at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, UT. This 5K run/walk in connection with USANA's annual International Convention, helps raise funds for Children's Hunger Fund (CHF), an organization committed to easing the suffering of children throughout the world.
"USANA has donated over $11 million to CHF in the pursuit to change lives around the world, and we're pleased to host our 8th annual Children's Hunger Run/Walk with CHF," said Dan Macuga, USANA vice president of marketing and public relations. "CHF is a wonderful organization and does exceptional work in enhancing the lives of people everywhere. Being partnered with a reputable organization that shares the same mission as USANA is incredible."
Participants age 12 and older cost $20. Children under 12 are FREE (minimum $5 donation for t-shirt). On-site registration begins at 6:30 a.m., with the race beginning at 7:00 a.m. To pre-register for the run/walk or to pledge support for an existing team, visit www.ChildrensHungerFund.org/run
The public is encouraged to join USANA and its worldwide team of independent distributors to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
