Salt Lake City- Tracy Aviary's Wilson Pavilion Project, constructed by Sahara Inc., received a Gold LEED certification from the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council).  Some of the project's many sustainable elements include natural lighting, using native plantings, low flow sinks and hose reels, and incorporating a high percentage of recycled materials in the construction.

Features of the Wilson Pavilion include cutting-edge indoor/outdoor exhibits, dedicated
spaces for egg incubation and hand-rearing of chicks, and lush tropical settings totaling nearly 3,500 sf of new exterior exhibits and over 4,300 sf of interior space.

GSBS Architects of Salt Lake City designed the project.

"Sahara is proud to have been a part of this project," Clegg Mabey, senior vice president of Sahara, Inc. said.  "We have really enjoyed working with the Aviary and GSBS to help begin the revitalization of the Aviary."
