Top 10 Drive-Free Resorts: #4 - Salt Lake City
Ok, so Salt Lake City isn't typcially known as a ski resort. It's a city, obviously. But it's so much more: it's a city with an international airport that lies within one hour of 11 different resorts, including Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, Brighton, Deer Valley, Park City and The Canyons. For that reason, it qualifies as a premium-access region. Take a shuttle to the resort of your choosing, or save some bucks on accommodations by staying in Salt Lake City and taking public transportation to the resort. The free bus system in Park City will take you to Deer Valley, Park City, and The Canyons, as well as throughout the town itself (and the buses are fueled using biodiesel). Most other resorts have a main pedestrian-friendly village area and do not require cars to get around.
