On Thursday January 23rd, 2014, The Front Climbing Club SLC will be hosting the Di’namik 2014 Bouldering Championships. Professional and amateur climbers alike will be competing for their share of a $3k cash purse, over $5k in prizes, and all the prestige endowed to the winners of this first-ever event. Inspired by the PCA style bouldering championships of days past on the roof of the Shilo Inn, Di’namik brings gritty, raw competition climbing back in a big way. As it is being held during the 2014 Winter Outdoor Retailer, the roster of professional climbers makes this a press worthy event.
The climbing will consist of two redpoint qualifier rounds from 3:00pm-8:00pm, wherein climbers of all abilities and backgrounds may attempt to qualify for the Finals. Finals will take place at 8:30pm on the 23rd at The Front Climbing Club, where the men’s and women’s champions will be determined. Anyone can spectate and/or compete.
