The Aerie Sushi Bar at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort has been named one of the "10 Best Ski-Town Sushi Restaurants" by SKI Magazine. Restaurants were selected from ski areas throughout the United States and Canada and listed on http://www.skinet.com/.

"We're thrilled to be named one of the best skiing sushi spots in North America," said Frédéric Barbier, Snowbird's Assistant Food and Beverage Director. "We have a dedicated brigade of enthusiastic, artistic sushi chefs that have thrilled guests for years with fantastic sushi with views of the mountain to match."

The Aerie Sushi Bar's menu features a variety of starters such as miso soup and seaweed salad along with makizushi, specialty rolls, nigiri, sashimi, combination platters and veggie rolls.  Patrons can also order from The Aerie Lounge menu, featuring buffalo wings, cheese fondue, pizzas, burgers and other lighter fare. Sushi can be paired with an imaginative variety of sake drinks, including sake-tinis, sake samplers, hot or cold sake and flavored sake in addition to traditional après ski beverages like classic cocktails and cold draft beer. The Aerie's award-winning wine list is also available with over 800 selections.

Snowbird's Aerie Sushi Bar, founded in 1982, was one of the first slopeside sushi bars in North America. The space was recently expanded in 2007 due to its popularity with guests and Salt Lake City locals alike. Snowbird recently earned the "Best High-Altitude Sushi" award from the staff of City Weekly.

The Aerie Restaurant features contemporary American cuisine prepared by Chef Fernando Soberanis, as well as a private dining room available for private parties.  For dinner or brunch reservations, please call 801-933-2181. Sample menus can be viewed at http://www.snowbird.com/.
