OnTheSnow.com, one of the most visited snowsports websites in the world, announced that Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort was voted the Best Overall Resort in North America by readers of the website as part of its Visitors’ Choice Awards. Snowbird also won the Best Terrain in the Rockies award.
“OnTheSnow has by far the biggest audience of any snowsports website in North America, so when our readers vote a resort as a winner of a Visitor's Choice Award, it really represents the voice of the North American snowsports,” said Patrick Crawford, OnTheSnow’s Global Content director. “Snowbird pulled out the top honors this year, because the resort delivers everything its visitors expect, both in terms of terrain and overall experience. And the fact that it also won for Best Terrain in the Rockies just underlines the strength of this resort - great skiing in one of North America's most iconic ski regions.”
Over the course of the winter, the OnTheSnow community collectively posts thousands of resort reviews. Users rank resorts on a scale of 1-5 stars in five categories: Family, Park and Pipe, All Mountain Terrain, Nightlife and Overall Excellence. As a user-generated award, the Visitors' Choice Awards represent the collective opinion of OnTheSnow.com’s readers on how well resorts across North America delivered on the experience they expected.
“This is fantastic recognition of the effort the entire Snowbird team put toward guest service this season,” said Snowbird President Bob Bonar. “We asked every person wearing the Snowbird blue to make each part of the guest experience unforgettable and being named Best Overall Resort tells me we were successful.”
