The Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau would like to encourage travel from neighboring states and communities that surround the Salt Lake Metropolitan area by highlighting the vast array of entertaining area attractions Salt Lake has to offer. These fun and easy to use entertainment packages were developed based on national trends that indicate travelers want to stay close to home with safe, value-driven packages. The Bureau is targeting drive-in markets and Salt Lake-based audiences for summer adventure travel.

"You don't have to leave the Wasatch Front to have a truly amazing vacation, and one that offers a great deal of bang for your buck," said Scott Beck, president and CEO of the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau. "Salt Lake offers the sophisticated amenities of a major metropolitan destination combined with the alpine ambiance of a mountain resort."

"Salt Lake combines urban attractions with a beautiful mountain setting, making it unique among American cities. Travelers to Salt Lake can enjoy a world-class museum or visit the urban zoo, and be hiking in an alpine meadow 40 minutes later. Mountain bikers can hit the trail in the morning, revive at astounding botanical gardens in the afternoon and spend the night in a luxurious Salt Lake hotel. Very few destinations offer so much to do in so close to the natural environment."
