The Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau (SLCVB) was recently awarded three prestigious industry awards: Corporate & Incentive Travel's 2008 Award of Excellence, Meeting News' Planners' Choice Award, and Meetings & Conventions' Gold Service Award-the 14th time the SLCVB has been honored with this award. Each award was voted on by the readers of the respective publications, meeting professionals responsible for booking hundreds of thousands of meetings and conventions nationwide.

"Being recognized by the readers of any one of these esteemed industry publications is an honor," commented Scott Beck, SLCVB president and CEO. "Receiving these three in a single year truly demonstrates the level of service Salt Lake and its hospitality partners are committed to offering all incoming meeting and convention groups."

Service remains the cornerstone of the SLCVB, offering a truly superior level of customer and client satisfaction within the industry. Post-convention surveys consistently rate the Bureau's Services Department very high, receiving rave reviews from meeting planners.

"Salt Lake's convention services team deserves every award they've won-they are on top of everything throughout the entire meeting process," said Linda Hines, Convention Manager for the American Military Surgeons of the U.S. "Not only are they incredible helpful with all the logistical issues of producing a great event, they're also truly focused on increasing meeting attendance and have great attendance promotion programs ready to implement."
