NowPlayingUtah.com, a website designed to serve as the all-inclusive resource for "what to do" and "where to go" in the state of Utah that launched April 17, is a project of the Utah Arts and Cultural Coalition-a non-profit program in partnership between the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau, Utah Arts Council and the Salt Lake County Zoo Arts & Parks Program.

NowPlayingUtah.com is designed to inform both residents and visitors about the arts and entertainment opportunities throughout the State of Utah, including Salt Lake, and will be an ideal tool for locals and visitors. The site encourages people to see a show, visit an exhibit, take their friends or family to a festival or event, and see well in advance of their visit what events or performances will be playing during their stay. By providing comprehensive information about what to do and where to go for unique cultural experiences, NowPlayingUtah.com aims to promote greater participation in the events and activities offered year-round.

Utah is the first state to undertake this comprehensive program. The program allows member organizations to control their own listings and increase the visibility of the arts in their respective areas. The program is customized and incredibly user-friendly, provides a searchable calendar of events and provides directory listings for organizations and venues.

The Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau is a private, non-profit corporation responsible for the promotion of Salt Lake as a convention and travel destination. Salt Lake is a unique fusion of metropolitan city and quaint mountain town; the towering Wasatch Mountains that embrace Salt Lake offer a dramatic backdrop to the vibrancy and activities of downtown. Having recently undergone a $58 million expansion, the Salt Palace Convention Center now boasts 679,000 square feet of exhibit and meeting space, ideal for groups of all sizes and needs.
