The Connect Pass offers locals and visitors a streamlined way to enjoy 13 of the Salt Lake area's top attractions. But, new this year is a pass that is good for 365 days.
Shawn Stinson, communications director for the bureau, told the Deseret News that the new 365-day pass is designed with local-based visitors in mind.
"It gives them more (time, so) they don't have to cram everything into one or three days," he said. "They can go to each and every one of the attractions over the course of a year."
A Connect Pass is activated the first time it is used and remains active for the number of consecutive days purchased. Pass holders may visit as many attractions as they like while their pass is active, but they are limited to only one visit at each participating attraction, Stinson said.
Passes are prices at $24 for a one-day pass, $36 for a two-day pass, $48 for three days and $69 for the 365-day access pass, with discounts for seniors and children.
"This is one of our pass programs that really is equally beneficial to residents of the Salt Lake area and out-of-state visitors," he said. The other pass programs are the Ski Salt Lake Super Pass and the Golf Salt Lake Super Pass, both more geared toward tourists, he added.
Participating attractions for the Connect Pass include Clark Planetarium, Discovery Gateway, Lion House Pantry Restaurant, Living Planet Aquarium, Red Butte Garden, Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort (scenic foot passenger tram ride only), Thanksgiving Point Gardens and the Museum of Ancient Life, This is the Place Heritage Park, Tracy Aviary, Utah Museum of Fine Arts, Utah Museum of Natural History, Utah Olympic Park and Utah's Hogle Zoo.
