Judy Cullen Named Visit Salt Lake’s Managing Director of Partner Development
Salt Lake City (July 2019)—Visit Salt Lake (VSL) recently announced the appointment of Judy Cullen as its Managing Director of Partner Development, filling the void following the retirement of Pat Holmes after 32 years with VSL. In her new role, Cullen will be responsible for the development and management of strategic partnerships with Salt Lake businesses engaged in the hospitality tourism industry. In addition, she will oversee VSL’s Governance programs, including communication to the Board of Directors and Standing Committees; development and execution of VSL membership strategies and goals; and directing and managing the organization’s advertising sales, partnership revenue programs and cooperative marketing agreements.
Cullen’s decorated hospitality-based career began with Salt Lake’s Gastronomy, Inc., in the role of Communications Director, then Salt Lake Brewing Company’s Director of Marketing and, most recently, as the Tsunami Restaurant Group’s Marketing Director. Throughout her career, Cullen’s success has been based on developing relationships and partnering with businesses and the community, traits that will serve her well in her new position with VSL.
A Michigan native, Cullen graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, before moving to Utah. Since, she has served on the boards of the Downtown Alliance, Salt Lake Area Restaurant Association, Mayor’s Business Advisory Committee, Vest Pocket Business Coalition, Downtown Merchants Association, the Salt Lake Acting Company, Salt Lake County Board of Health and various Park City-area organizations.
