The Hotel & Club Elevate, known for its popularity in the nightclub scene, as well as holiday parties, has announced the launch of two new bars: The Historic Hotel Bar, and The Barrel Room.
When asked about the reasons for the changes Bryan Borreson, the owner and operator for the last three years, pointed to the ever-changing culture of Salt Lake City and the surrounding community. "Utah has a vibrant and evolving population, and we want to evolve with them. With our history and location, we feel we are in a great position do just that."
Located just South of the Salt Palace, The Hotel & Club Elevate has been a destination not only for Utahns, but also for tourists and conference attendees across the nation, hosting many events for Outdoor Retailers and other visiting groups. "We're excited for the new expansion, it's been a lot of work and I think our guests are going to be able to see that," Borreson expressed.
The first bar is created to be homage to the origins of the building, which opened in 1910 and will be complete with period bartenders, as well as a large selection of food and beverages for people to enjoy. "We have a rich history in Salt Lake, in this building in particular, and we want to celebrate that history. We will be expanding our hours as well, opening our doors at 4:00 pm every Tuesday through Saturday," said Borreson.
The Barrel Room celebrates that history as well, hosting live bands and serving craft beer. "We wanted to create a space that showcases the local talent Utah has, both in its craft beer as well as its musical talent and we feel The Barrel Room reflects that," he said.
