Hotel Set to Complete Improvements by August 25, 2012
SALT LAKE CITY - May 1, 2012 - Hilton Salt Lake City Center today announced plans for
a multi-million dollar guest room enhancement project. The downtown convention hotel will
modernize its 479 guest rooms and 20 suites with new furnishings and fixtures. The
corridors on all guest floors will also be updated with new carpeting and wall coverings. The
renovation is part of a three-year, $3 billion plan of significant property renovations currently
underway across the global portfolio of Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the flagship brand of Hilton
"Hilton Salt Lake City is set to become the premier business hotel in Salt Lake City, with our
perfect location in the downtown business district and our bold, bright and contemporary
guest room renovation," said Jeff Protzman, general manager, Hilton Salt Lake City Center.
Planned by Design Atelier, Hilton Salt Lake City Center will feature clean, modern lines and
soothing hues creating a relaxing upscale guest experience. The colors, textures and details
of the design echoes the richness found in the stunning landscape of Utah.
The updates to all of the renovated guest rooms and suites will include new luxurious Hilton
Serenity Beds, large 38-inch LCD televisions, Cuisinart coffeemakers, a modern, spacious
work desk with stylish ergonomic chair, a comfortable lounge chair with ottoman and a
beverage station. Cozy lighting and contemporary artwork will complete the look. Guest
bathrooms will also be enhanced with new wall-to-wall backlit mirrors, expansive granite
countertops and new vibrant artwork.
The room renovation project will be completed on three restricted floors at a time, and will
not impact guests' experience. The recently redone meeting rooms, restaurants and lobby as
well as fitness and pool areas will remain fully operational during the guest room
